Longboard and standup paddle legend, China Uemera, is a selfless and inspiring teacher in the water. Countless keiki have learned the ways of the water and of life from Uncle China. For 33 years, he ran the China Uemura Longboard Surfing Classic at Kuhio Beach. His competition provided over $200,000 to local charities and benefited the community immensely.
