Founder and head coach of Anuenue Canoe Club, Uncle Nappy’s teams have raced worldwide. A true competitor, Nappy alongside his wife and fellow Hall of Famer, Anona, has led his club through countless races since his first Molokai Hoe Canoe Race in 1957. All five of their sons are accomplished and devoted paddlers. Throughout the years, he has been a thoughtful, brave, and understanding leader to several generations of paddlers.
