Big wave legend and pioneer Wally Froiseth conquered Makaha and the North Shore and helped inspire the global migration to these iconic surf sites. Growing up in Kahala, Wally spent his days honing his craft on the surrounding breaks. In the 1930s, Wally was one of the first documented surfers to dare challenge the waves of Makaha.
